Madagascar 2007/8
In 2007 Simon set out with Phil Clegg to become the first people to circumnavigate Madagascar by sea kayak. In two months they covered over 1500km (half way). They then planned to return to finish the expedition off the following winter.
Madagascar 2009
In 2009 Simon returned to Madagascar to try to complete the expedition with a local white water kayaker. Things didn’t go to plan with surf, cyclones and illnesses. He still managed to spend two months exploring some of the best kayaking Madagascar had to offer both on the sea and rivers.
