Crossing
Oslo Fjord

Meeting the Locals on Brunskar Mr and Mrs. Maxson
11th March 2008
Update: 11 3 08
We left Akeroy this morning at 0815, and headed due west across Oslo
Fjord, directly to St Ferder Island, arrived there exactly 3 hours
later, then had a quick pee stop before following the coastline down
to the small coastal town of Larvik. We arrived here at about 1715.
I delivered a yacht here in 2001 and made some good friends amongst
the locals, so you can guess what Mark and I are up to, yes we are
washing socks and drinking beer :) We plan to stay here tomorrow,
admin and visiting the Colin Archer museum. Then if the weathers ok
we shall be heading out on Thursday morning. All is good and we are
happy paddlers!
RIP Fred

Its a very sad moment for Jeff. I know how
much this little feller meant to him, probably more than me!! He was
sadly lost at sea while crossing Oslo Fjord. The search has
been called off and or thoughts are with Jeff. Its been a
tough life for Fred but he has successfully circumnavigated South
Georgia and Japan. I know its a bit quick to be moving on but
Jeff is looking for a replacement so if there are any small, fair
weather bringing mascots out there let us know!
