Pink granite expedition

Expedition summary

Brittany is a Mecca for amazing sea kayaking; with diverse wildlife, dramatic cliffs and isolated beaches. This makes it the ideal place to venture on a sea kayaking expedition.
We will catch the ferry from Plymouth to Roscoff with the SKC van and trailer, choosing a suitable location for the week to suit the prevailing conditions. The aim is to kayak and wild camp along the Pink Granite coast to the east of Roscoff. It is a stunning section of coastline with amazing wildlife, rock formations, villages, beaches, ports and big tidal ranges!

We will meet you at the ferry terminal on the Saturday evening. The ferry departs at 22:00 and arrives the following morning at 10:00. You can put your kayak on our trailer at Plymouth and leave your car at the ferry terminal. We will be at the ferry 2-3 hours before departure.

We will start paddling on the Sunday morning and finish on the Saturday leaving time to do a shuttle before catching the ferry.

It is best to bring food for the weeks camping with you as there is not much open in France on a Sunday morning. You can resupply on route to some extent but best to plan to top up rather than fully resupply. There is also the chance to go out for some meals. We are also happy to meet you in Roscoff if you would like to make your own travel arrangements. We will arrive back in Plymouth on the Saturday evening at 2010.
